Lovely cake and tea
Great independent caf (local business, not a chain and not owned by the train company), inside the station. Just on platform 1 (direction of Hull), with a hatch onto the platform, so you can order your drink without going in. Sells local papers as well as pastries. Good range of teas and coffees, and lovely friendly staff. Clean and well laid out, they have made it feel cosy and relaxed despite the location. Regular customer told me that when she gets anxious about her train, they have offered to bring her coffee out to her on the platform. I got money off for bringing my own cup, which is always nice. Worth more of a visit than I had time for! Seems to be cash only at the moment.
